The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science (DMCS) promotes research in the fields of Pure and Applied Mathematics, Teaching and History of Mathematics and Computer Science.

Several members of the Department are involved in interdisciplinary programs in collaboration with members of the Departments of Engineering, Economics, Architecture, Biology and Medicine.
